Description:

This role plays a critical part in building and maintaining a world-class developer ecosystem. It is a technical position responsible for creating accurate, code-verified documentation that helps both external developers and business users successfully integrate and use the platform.

The Technical Documentation Engineer is the primary owner of the Developer Hub and a key contributor to the Help Center, ensuring all content is reliable, technically sound, and aligned with product evolution.

Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, Developer Experience, this role works closely with Engineering, Product Development, and Marketing teams to ensure documentation is of high quality, consistent, and clear across all audiences.

What will you do?

Own the Developer Hub

  • Lead the content strategy and creation for the Developer Hub.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation, including:
    • Conceptual API architecture guides.
    • Reference documentation for REST and GraphQL endpoints.
    • How to guides, onboarding tutorials, and technical articles.
    • API documentation updates and changelogs.

Source Code Driven Documentation

  • Validate content through direct interaction with the codebase and APIs.
  • Navigate polyglot repositories to ensure technical accuracy.

Help Documentation Ownership

  • Maintain business-facing content for the Help Center.
  • Ensure clarity and accuracy for non-technical audiences.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work directly with Software Engineers and Product Managers.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to keep tone and messaging consistent.
  • Align documentation updates with product release cycles.

Developer Community Engagement

  • Participate in developer community channels to gather feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the developer experience.

Translate Product to Value

  • Turn new features and technical details into practical, benefit-focused content.

Alignment with Strategy

  • Ensure documentation priorities support Developer Experience direction.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years in technical writing focused on developer oriented content.
  • Ability to read and understand code in languages such as JavaScript, Go, PHP, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and OAuth 2.0.
  • Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman or cURL.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Engineering and Product teams.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to independently research and validate technical information.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with cloud services or infrastructure as code.
  • Background in financial technology or similar technical environments.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools such as Docusaurus, MkDocs, or ReadMe.
  • Experience engaging with developer communities.
