Description:
The Technical Content Lead plays a key role in shaping and delivering the content and documentation that drive the company’s developer ecosystem and support its user community. This individual will serve as the primary author and curator of all technical and help-related materials, translating complex technical concepts into clear, precise, and engaging documentation for two core audiences: external software developers and business users.
Reporting directly to the Director of Software Engineering, Developer Experience, this role acts as a critical link between Engineering, Product Development, and Marketing teams. The mission is to create a world-class documentation experience that empowers developers to build innovative credit and lending solutions using the company’s APIs, while ensuring business users can fully leverage the platform’s capabilities.
What will you do?
- Own the Developer Hub: Take full ownership of the content strategy and creation for the new Developer Hub.
- Manage Developer Tooling Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for developer tools, including Public Postman Collections and SDKs (Python, Java, Go, Node.js).
- Lead Help Documentation: Take ownership of the business-facing Help Center, ensuring all articles are accurate, easy to understand, and effectively communicate product functionality to non-technical users.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Serve as a key liaison between technical and non-technical teams. Work closely with Software Engineers and Product Managers to ensure documentation evolves alongside new features. Partner with Marketing to maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all materials.
- Engage the Developer Community: Actively participate in developer community channels (e.g., Slack, Discord) to gather feedback, respond to questions, and identify opportunities to enhance the developer experience through improved documentation.
- Translate Product into Value: Collaborate with the Product Development team to understand customer feedback and new feature releases, translating technical updates into clear, benefit-driven documentation and help resources.
- Align with Strategic Direction: Ensure that all content strategies, priorities, and deliverables align with the vision and guidance established by the Director of Software Engineering, Developer Experience.
Requirements:
- 3 - 5+ years in a technical writing role, with a strong portfolio of content created specifically for software developers (e.g., API documentation, SDK guides, technical tutorials).
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical content in English, effectively explaining complex technical concepts to both developer and business audiences.
- Strong understanding of web technologies and API architectures, including REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and authentication standards (e.g., OAuth 2.0).
- Ability to read and understand code examples in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go. Hands-on experience with tools like Postman or Insomnia for making API calls.
- Demonstrated success working in cross-functional environments with Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams.
- Advanced English is required.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the FinTech or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with modern software architecture patterns, including CQRS and event-driven systems.
- Experience with documentation platforms (e.g., ReadMe) and help center software (e.g., Zendesk, Intercom).
- Previous involvement in managing or participating in technical communities (e.g., Slack, Discord, forums).
