We are looking highly experienced Manual Tester to join our dynamic team. As a Manual Tester, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through meticulous manual testing. With your exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and extensive experience, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and reporting defects, collaborating closely with the development team to deliver high-quality software products. What will you do?
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Design and develop comprehensive test cases and test scenarios based on requirements and user stories.
- Execute manual tests to identify software defects, ensuring thorough coverage of functionality, usability, and performance.
- Document and report defects using a defect tracking system, providing clear and detailed information for developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that defects have been properly fixed and that the software functions as expected.
- Validate bug fixes and new features through rigorous testing to ensure software stability and compatibility.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to investigate and resolve complex issues, providing accurate and detailed information to assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Participate in software release activities, verifying the integrity and quality of the software before deployment to production environments.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, identifying areas for automation and suggesting strategies to optimize testing efforts.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior testers, sharing best practices and knowledge to enhance the overall testing capabilities of the team.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging practices in manual testing, seeking opportunities to incorporate new tools and techniques into the testing process.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, communicating testing progress, risks, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Adhere to established quality assurance standards and contribute to the development and maintenance of the organization’s testing standards and practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices
- Experience in designing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Solid knowledge of defect tracking systems and experience in documenting and reporting defects.
- Proficiency in testing web-based applications, mobile applications, and/or desktop software.
- Familiarity with different types of testing, including functional, regression, usability, and performance testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with test management tools, bug tracking tools, and test automation tools is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in software testing (such as ISTQB) are desirable but not mandatory.
