Software Engineer – Fullstack

Description:

As a Software Engineer, you will be a core contributor to the engineering team, turning innovative ideas into reality. You will work on the services powering digital exams and the provider platform, writing code that directly impacts users. We are looking for a developer who can create robust, scalable software and is eager to take ownership of their work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What will you do?

• Design, build, and maintain features for online vision tests and the vision care platform.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code that upholds high standards for quality and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to bring new ideas to life.
• Take ownership of features from concept to deployment, directly impacting patients and doctors.
• Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in backend development with Node.js and/or Python.
• Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks (React/Redux) and JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience developing with key AWS services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Experience writing effective unit and integration tests (e.g., Jest).
• Strong sense of ownership and a passion for delivering results.
• Start-up or entrepreneurial experience preferred.

Nice to have:

• Experience with GCP.
• Strong UI/UX sensibility and high visual standards.
• AI proficiency, particularly in generative AI implementations.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails.
