- Scale the platform while optimizing performance and cost
- Support hiring and mentoring future engineers
- Establish engineering best practices and technical standards
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, React, and Postgres/Supabase.
- Proven experience shipping products end-to-end as an owner or key contributor.
- Strong fullstack capabilities (frontend, backend, database, APIs).
- Experience owning infrastructure and system reliability.
- Solid understanding of security fundamentals (auth, data protection, etc.).
- Product mindset with the ability to contribute beyond execution.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong English communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience in sports (athlete, coach, or strong interest).
- Background in marketplace or SaaS products (payments, subscriptions, multi-sided platforms).
- Experience with React Native or mobile app development.
- Experience scaling systems or migrating infrastructure (e.g., to AWS).
- Familiarity with Stripe, Vercel, or similar tools.
- Experience working in early-stage startups.
