Description:
We are seeking a Staff Developer Experience Engineer (DevEx) to play a key role in defining and enhancing Developer Experience across the engineering organization.
This position focuses on building and maintaining internal tools, shared services, libraries, and frameworks that empower Product Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently and securely.
You will design and maintain resilient CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, security enforcement mechanisms, monitoring systems, and logging platforms. These tools will be treated as internal products, with a strong emphasis on usability, adoption, and measurable impact on engineering performance.
Success in this role will directly contribute to improved developer productivity, faster time-to-market, greater reliability, greater standardization, and reduced operational overhead. You will also partner closely with engineering leadership to integrate modern AI-driven development tooling and methodologies.
What will you do?
- Define, design, and drive adoption of internal tools, libraries, frameworks, and shared services that improve the efficiency, quality, and velocity of Product Engineering teams.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices to enable secure and scalable software delivery.
- Establish and automate security policies, compliance checks, and vulnerability scanning throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Standardize architectural patterns, engineering practices, and technology choices across teams.
- Define and maintain the Developer Experience roadmap based on engineering feedback and delivery performance metrics such as DORA.
- Implement AI-related development methodologies, including Specification-Driven Development (SDD) and AI-powered code review tooling.
- Mentor engineers on best practices, service ownership, and operational excellence.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years focused on Developer Experience (DevEx), engineering productivity, internal developer tooling, infrastructure, or related engineering initiatives.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Clojure, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Experience building and maintaining internal tools, SDKs, libraries, or frameworks that improve developer productivity.
- Experience with Git and GitHub, including repository management, branching strategies, and pull request workflows.Experience with Git and GitHub, including repository management, branching strategies, and pull request workflows.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns such as microservices and event-driven systems.
- Experience implementing security best practices within the SDLC.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to drive cross-functional adoption of standards, tooling, and engineering practices.
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS/ECS, IAM, and VPC networking.
- Advanced English communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience designing and optimizing GitHub Actions and workflows for CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with AI-related tooling and methodologies such as Specification-Driven Development (SDD) or Kiro.
