Description:
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who combines a strong eye for design with enough front-end knowledge to understand how interfaces are actually built and help bridge the gap between what is designed in Figma and what ultimately ships to production.
This role goes beyond the traditional design handoff. You will work closely with designers and developers to ensure implemented interfaces accurately reflect design specifications, identify visual inconsistencies, inspect implementation details using HTML, CSS, and browser developer tools, and discuss technical feasibility with engineering teams.
You should be comfortable moving between Figma and the browser, advocating for the quality and consistency of the final user experience and helping maintain a high standard across the product. When QA workload permits, you will also contribute directly to UI design initiatives.
What will you do?
- Audit staging and production interfaces against approved Figma designs.
- Identify, document, and track visual inconsistencies and UI implementation issues through resolution.
- Collaborate closely with developers during sprint planning, implementation, and code review processes to identify UI issues early.
- Use HTML, CSS, and browser developer tools to inspect implementations and determine whether deviations are caused by technical limitations or implementation decisions.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to engineering teams.
- Partner with UI/UX leadership to improve the design-to-development workflow and establish stronger design QA processes.
- Help ensure design system components and design tokens are implemented consistently in production.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, and Engineering teams to resolve recurring UI implementation issues.
- Support the UI/UX team with screen and interface design when needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX, Front-End Development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience in UI/UX Design, including hands-on experience with design-to-development handoffs.
- Strong proficiency with Figma, including interface design, prototyping, components, and design systems.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience using browser developer/inspection tools.
- Good understanding of component-based design systems and libraries such as Storybook.
- Strong visual attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle differences between design specifications and implemented interfaces.
- Ability to clearly document UI issues and provide actionable feedback to developers.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to challenge implementation decisions when necessary.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
- Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
