Description:
As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s security systems. This includes implementing and testing new security features, planning computer and network upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and responding to security incidents. You will collaborate across teams to ensure robust security measures are in place and exemplify the organization’s core values, culture, policies, and procedures at all times.
What will you do?
- Develop deep knowledge of the company’s software, its functions, and how it meets customer needs.
- Cultivate new business relationships and maintain existing relationships with customers and partners.
- Design and implement secure private key infrastructure (PKI) systems.
- Establish and manage certificate authorities (CAs) for issuing and managing digital certificates.
- Evaluate and select cryptographic protocols, algorithms, and standards.
- Review and assess communication protocols (e.g., TLS/SSL) for security vulnerabilities and compliance.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate security controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met.
- Stay up to date with the latest security technologies, trends, and standards.
- Perform security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Respond to security incidents and participate in incident response efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may evolve over time.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in network security, encryption technologies, PKI, digital certificates, and secure communication protocols.
- Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
- Proficiency in programming, system administration, and security tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
- Proficiency in G Suite, Microsoft Office, and industry-specific analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of the industry, with ability to quickly become a subject matter expert.
